Led by Leah Corrigan, J.D.

Managing Attorney, Former Wilderness Guide

Leah Corrigan is the founder and managing attorney at the Recreation Law Group. An experienced litigator, Leah has spent over a decade representing a diverse array of clients in state, federal, and appellate courts, including high-stakes matters such as wrongful death cases and litigation involving multi-million-dollar claims. Leah worked as a multi-day wilderness guide for over a decade, an experience that allows her to genuinely connect with both recreation business and organization owners and their staff.

Prepare Your Outdoor Recreation Team

“Guides who have been with us for decades said the Critical Incident Response Training was the best training we have ever offered. Recreation Law Group will help you find the weak spots in your operations and give your staff an eye-opening experience of what happens in a major accident. You will hopefully never need this training, but if you ever have an incident, you will look back on this being the most important training you hosted as a company.”

Erik Weiseth - Orange Torpedo Trips

“As an outdoor professional for 20+ years, I have had the fortune of being shielded from the after-effects from events by managers/owners. It is with little practical experience I came to this training. I came away with valuable insights and practical tips to help prepare myself and my colleagues in the future.”

Lynsey Nunes - Outdoor Professional

“Leah and her crew created realistic and detailed scenarios that provided a great practice ground for our staff to gain vital experience. Leah’s ability to show our staff how to express compassion while navigating a response instilled great confidence in our staff on how to work through any incident that might occur.”

Bud Chatham - Dave Hansen Whitewater

“Leah Corrigan brought authority from being an attorney, credibility from being a river guide, and authenticity from being a caring, compassionate, and thoughtful human being. We’re not done, but we never could have made it this far without her help.”

Steve Welch, ARTA

“This program is essential for anyone involved in an outdoor education or guiding career. The truth is, none of us want to admit we may have to face a critical incident or tragedy. The reality is, we may, and we need to be prepared. This course not only prepares you for the “worst”, but also gives you better ways to communicate with clients, and each other, and gives tools to be the best we can be in ALL situations.”
